Q.

my son is 27 months old. he keeps on running from one corner of the room to another... he makes lesser eye contact... he speaks a few words ... and at times he responds to his name and at times he doesn't respond to his name .... I s he ok ?? do we need to take him to any doctor ?? or we should wait for some more time

A. development by the age of 2 years the child should be able to speak few words with meaning in the sentence and should be able to understand all the commands and orders given by the parents and if you feel that they are not present in your child it is important to meet your pediatrician to assess the growth milestfones of the child and whether there is any need of therapy or not. if child has good understanding and follows orders ancd command of the parents properly then do not worry much about speech as will eventually come. talk more with child. avoid tv mobile laptop. involve more people to interact with the child
