It is used to treat the symptoms of the common cold and allergies such as runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose and throat, watery eyes, congested nose, cough, etc. Chericof Junior Syrup is also used as a cough syrup as it reduces the activity in the cough centre of your brain thus, suppressing the cough. It helps to ease the blocked or stuffy nose by narrowing the blood vessels within your nose. It also provides relief from allergic symptoms. Chericof Junior Syrup shows side effects like nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and headache. Most of these side effects are short-lasting and usually get better after some time. Talk to your doctor if these side effects bother you. This medicine is known to cause sleepiness, so you should avoid activities requiring mental focus like driving and/or operating a machine. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medicine as it will worsen your sleepiness. Chericof Junior Syrup can be taken with or without food as instructed by your doctor. Take plenty of water while taking this medicine to avoid any stomach irritation. If your doctor has prescribed this medicine, consult with your doctor before stopping this medicine.
