my son is 21year month old he has runny nose and watering eyes for two days please suggest some medicine we gave him mextra syrup but didn't relief as yet please help us

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there coulkgd be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
