Q.
my son is 20 month old... but he is not talking any meaningful words... he is just babbling... he is not responding to his name but responding to commands also he is very active

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. if the baby is 20 months also you can just wait for your child to say something meaningful in a proper sentence just try to interact gradually the child will learn to speak sentences

Ru Calling yourself from different different names like sometime nickname sometime original name sometimes something else so kids get confuse so stick to one name and if your child is not responding to name but follow all the commands making proper eye contact while listening to you and all then there is no issue it could be sometimes due to deficiency of iron you should get a check but if there is no eye contact no responding to name most of the times then it could be due to a little bit of delay in the growth in that case or psychologist would be able to advise you
