Q.

My son is 1year 8 months old. He is active and his head soft part(fontanelle) is not closed. Should I consult a paediatrician or to wait till he turns two. Hope will get a reply soon

A. yes adviseed they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age. they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency gas well as the child is not havingv any other complaints because their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.

A. Hi mommy Offer different varieties of food fruits vegetable pulses whole grains milk products in different shape colours patterns to make meal more interesting children are fussy eater at this age its all normal and common you can give food in puree liquid form or give some juice soup milkshake etc Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs regularly it also help baby to make muscle stronger and to reduce gas and constipation
