Father of a 5 yr 7 m old boy4 years ago
Q.

My son is 15 Months old, he sleeps around 12-1 O'clock at night and wakes up around 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Means he sleeps almost 12 hrs continually, in the evening also he sleeps for 1-2 hrs. In between his sleep at night, he drinks mother milk. We are worried for this much sleep, is it good for him because during this time he doesn't eat anything. His stomach must be empty for that duration. What should we do ? please suggest

A. See 12 hours of sleep is a very good and healthy sleep for a child but the hours that your child is sleeping on a very very hard you should try to make your child sleep by nine or maximum 10 PM in the night so your child wakes afresh by 10 PM in the morning 12 PM is too late and if your child is sleeping for 12 hours at a stretch it’s not that you have to feed your child in the night or anything if your child is asking for it then only feed the child otherwise don’t feel it’s perfectly alright for a child to sleep for 12 hours without eating or drinking anything
