Q.
My son is 14 months old. Still he is sleeping in hammock made in saree. I tried to wean off it, but couldn't. He was unstoppabbly crying and pointing to hammock. Please help me to wean off the habit of sleeping in saree hammock. Thanks in advance.

AvishaMom of a 10 yr 4 m old boy8 years agoA. u have to do this continuously.at first he will not listen..then will listen for 2 mins ..then gradually increase his time.. don't worry. he will definitely ask u mama plz tell me cow story...moon story

Nagma TabassumMom of 2 children8 years agoA. to distrack my kids I played with them in free time taking them in my hand and moving in semi circular motion or to and fro. this made enjoyable and now the first twin rests in my hand and I have to move him to and fro for sleep where as my second twin either loves his father's chest or bed .

Author of questionMom of a 9 yr 6 m old boy8 years agoA. Thanks avisha. I used to make him sleep by singing and playing songs in mobile. But he became anxious when I tried to sleep him on bed. He is not at all listening to any song or story or poem. Inconsolable crying. I will remove the hammock away from his sight and try my best. Thank u once again. :-)

AvishaMom of a 10 yr 4 m old boy8 years agoA. it's tough to make kids leave their habit. u need to be patient. remove the hammock from his sight...15 mins before his sleeping time..take him on the bed.. sleep beside him and play with him ..tell stories or poems and then tell him to go to sleep.i am also sleeping. its good if they sleep on their own.if not then you either rub his back or pat on his back..kids sleep fast..
