Q.

My son is 13 months old. From past 20 days his upper left and right corner gums are swollen and its purple in color (i guess its cyst eruption) just wanted to understand is it normal in case of tooth eruption or should i get in touch with his pediatric if its dangerous. please advice. please note his upper and lower front 4 teeths have already being erupted.

A. Yes it is common. You can massage that area with a clean cotton cloth and give your kid teethers to chew on. This will stimulate the process of eruption. Incase still no teeth, then visit a pedodontist ( kids dentist).

A. hi..my son's doctor has provided the attached advice in relation to bilateral eruption cyst in mouth...vould u please advice..

A. Thank uou Dr. Garima for your response. as suggested if i massage or give teethers to my kid for chewing will cyst i.e. swollen purple gum would burst or it will not burst but it would settle down over a period of massage
