my son is 11 years old. He is not speaking but if we ask him to repeat then he will say the word. Few basic questions he answer in one word. For example, what is your name. he will just say Rafan. kindly suggest how we can improve his speech. we are taking him to speech therapy and using AAC.

I don’t think so it is about speech that is going to be improved with speech therapy I think it is just about that your child doesn’t know how to communicate the problem is in terms of understanding and responding in a proper manner you should make your child do reading the more your child is going to read the better your child is going to become in terms of its speech and communication and that is the only way okay and teach your child how to communicate it is going to take a lot of patience but this is the only way to make your child do better
