Q.

My son is 1 year old and weighs 8.2 kg now. Birth weight was 3.3 kg. Since the start of solids he shows very less interest in eating. Now we have started cows milk 200ml per day. Along with that we feed him egg, nuts, cheese/paneer/curd and 1/4 avocado daily apart from other food varieties. day by day his food intake is going down. first one week he was accepting all foods. 2nd week the quantity of food intake per feed drastically dropped. and now in the third week he is refusing to take meals sometimes. he is not interested in feeds even in the morning after long night sleep. we are providing him variety of meals daily in all categories of food like cereals, dairy, fruits, veggies and nonveg items. when we started this diet, first 2 weeks he gained 100 grams weight but now in 3rd week he is back to his weight he was 3 wèeks before. pls suggest me what to do now? i am very much stressed about my child.

A. don't stress, babies at this age go through phases, sometimes they eat good n sometime reduces. you need to keep trying to give energy dense food more often as much he accept

A. Animal milk should not be given before the age of 12 months in the first place secondly I am not sure whether you are adding all the spices including salt or not because that is proper flavour to the food if you are not please add every thing yet if your child is not eating anything even after doing every think that I suggest you get the haemoglobin levels checked for the childWrite Your Answer Here
