Q.

My son have got little knot behind ear . It was not painfull in the start but while changing clothes now he is getting irritated while removing tshirt .it looks like as in image..it's now 10 days..pls suggest if I should go to skin specialist ..our child specialist doctor given cream mucopolysaccharide polysulfate but yet it is still same..pls guide

A. Lumps behind the ear can be caused by throat infections (e.g. pharyngitis), a cold or flu virus, mononucleosis, otitis, conjunctivitis, herpes, cavities, gingivitis, or the measles. Any of these infections can cause swollen lymph nodes in their affected area (ie. in the throat or side of the head).
