If the temperature is above 99 degree Fahrenheit then you should give paracetamol syrup prescribed by your pediatrician. Follow the same dosage mentioned by the doctor. Keep watching the baby and measure temperature every four hours. Paracetamol can be given once in every six hours. If the fever raises above 101 and stays at high temperatures for more than a day, you should consult your pediatrician. For high temperatures, give warm water dipped towel bath to reduce the temperature. Keep the baby hydrated. Don't cover the baby with heavy clothes. Keep the baby in a well ventilated room.
