Q.
My son have cough and cold. Medicines are given. He is coughing ang for runny nose he's irritated. How can I soothe him ???

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which shouvld be given only avvfter a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .here than for more guidance you can discuss with your doctor and get cleared all the further queries and you will be given all the required guidance which you can follow accordingly ...
