Q.

My son has completed 4 months now with exclusive breast feeding he is passing urine around 13 to 15 times in 24 hours but haven’t gain weight in past 2 weeks without any weight loss. Is he getting enough milk or should I introduce formula to him??

A. Is it necessary to check the weight of baby every week or or once in a month is fine

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment.d if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping fpattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
