Q.
My son had fever on 4 and 5 Sep 21. He was cured with antibiotic, pcm , cetrizin. After 6 Sep 21 He has cough . Again consulted doctor , and treated with flucold and coscopin syrup but not have improvement. Doctor examined and said lung is clear. He has no cough. Please do needful.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expxdectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there parcacetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
