Q.

My son got Meningococcal shot yesterday Since then he has very high fever Is it normal Because normally after vaccine if he gets fever after one dose only he gets better But this time fever is not coming down Evening- 100.8 Night 103.8 Morning 101 Please help #askexpert

A. Hello, your baby boy is 25 months old and he has received MCV vaccinations and he has a high grade fever so don’t worry give him fruits juice and sy ibugesic plus 5 ml three times a day

A. your child might be having viral infection and it is not related to vaccine your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give only symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 t times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor
