my son fell down one week in floor, from standing posture, immediately there s swelling and redness in side head region, still swelling is there ,I showed near by pediatrician she is telling to wait for few days. di I need to do anyother investigation?

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chkhronic manifestaticons occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule ojut in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
