My son aged 2y 2m is not speaking atleast simple words and also not maintaining eye contact at what Iam pointing but he can understand some of my orders and daily activities while I'm doing. But at age of 1y 4m he said 5-6 little words later forgot all.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interactifdon with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consuhlt your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
