A. fever is the response of the body to any kind of infection or inflammation. Usually if the child is having temperature above 99°F, so it should be taken as fever and the first medicine which needs to be given should be paracetamol in a dose of 15 MG per KG per dose, if high fever is there so mefanemic acid can be given in a proper dose. Also, cold sponging can be done to reduce the fever and in some cases, paracetamol suppository can also be given. Also, plenty of liquid should be given along with a good diet. if fever is persisting and high-grade, along with other symptoms like irritability or dullness and poor appetite, it should not be ignored and Dr guidance shouldfj be taken.
