my son 7months baby have cold n cough ..doctor prescribed maxtra drops n Bro-zedex syrup ..but thing is from 2 days he get cough only in morning when he wake up ..while that time I feed him n apply some baby viks put him to sleep ..after that no problem

A. avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.
