Q.

My son 6 months is passing stool after every 1-2 hrs and after every feed (semi solid started 1 week back). Is it normal or need some medication? But good part is he is not feeling cranky in his behaviour. I am giving him home made ORS. Kindly suggest any medication, if needed?

A. hi...Passing motion after solids is ok if baby is not in discomfort. Weight gain slows down after 6 months and further after 1 year. If baby has roughly doubled lowest birth weight at 6 months and is meeting milestones there is nothing to worry. Offer calorie dense, iron rich, nutrition rich food.
