#AskTheExpert My son, 5 year old, faced a burn on his neck last October. It has formed hypertrophic scar. Presently using Contractubex gel for it. Is there any other gel which will heal faster. Or any other treatment options for his age. As it is really revealing and looking ugly on the neck which cannot be hidden by collar T-shirt too. I can send pic if email address or anything is provided. I'm really worried and confused. Dear dermatologist, Please help to the earliest.

ExpertDr Arti SharmaPaediatrician7 years agoA. Hi Contractubex helps in scar fading But for deep scars uneven scars with keloids surgery may be needed. Consult Plastic surgeon once

AartiMom of a 9 yr 10 m old boy7 years agoA. keep applying the ointment oven by doctor..also in kids it is advisable to wait as their skin grows..the mark will het lighten or even fade away
