It's quite common for young children, like your 2-year, 2-month-old son, to sweat primarily on their head during physical activity such as running or jumping. The head contains more sweat glands, and in toddlers, the body may not yet fully regulate sweat across the entire body evenly. If your child is active and only sweating on his head, but otherwise healthy, it’s generally not a cause for concern.
However, if you notice other symptoms like excessive fatigue, unusual breathing, or if the sweating occurs during rest or sleep, it’s a good idea to consult your pediatrician. They can rule out any underlying conditions, such as issues with the thyroid or heart, which can sometimes cause irregular sweating patterns. In the meantime, ensure your child stays hydrated, as active children can lose fluids quickly through sweat.
