Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. yes it is common
when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Yeah sometimes fever can happen it’s not a problem you can continue with paracetamol and you can give it every six hours to the child if the temperature is rising and if you need you can also do cold sponging that is also going to be quite helpful
