my paediatrician has asked to give dabur honitus to my 8month old for cough.is it ok? shall I give?

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. hello yes you can use it. it's a ayurvedic preparation. it is safe as it has all natural ingredients. can give him indirect steam or use humidifier in the room to avoid thickening of mucous in airways. give him all home made foods which are easily digestible and nutritious. give mixed vegetable soups coconut water

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Yes, you can give as it is very mild cough syrup and don't let the baby feel dizzi which generally list of the cough syrups do. For coughing, first of all give indirect steam to the baby, use humidifier in the room, keep your baby well hydrated by feeding well, if above six months then other liquids can also be given like warm soups, home made juices, avoid giving cough syrups until your doctor prescribe them.
