Q.
My nine month old baby poops 3 to 4 times a day and his poop has foul smell.Due to this my baby looks very weak but he is active.plz suggest some medicine for the same?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. no need to worry about the frequency and colour of the stool if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.
also there is no need to worry about the smell of the stool if the consistency is normal.
you have to meet the doctor if it is watery inconsistency or hard consistency otherwise semi solid to solid stool is normal.
also passing stool after taking food is normal.
it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen.
it also depends upon the diet the child is taking.
so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements.
the child should be given different flavoursx and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount.
you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help xin improving the weight of the child.

Passing through couple of times in a day can be due to various reasons First could be indigestion sometimes it could probably be due to our stomach infection as well and if you are saying it is having foul smell then it is no harm getting it checked with your doctor they will be able to give you better guidance on this
