Q.
My nine month old baby fell down from bed ..! No injury nor any hematoma..! But still shud I get a CT scan done?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol.
Recurrent fall injury for agr child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally .
Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .

If there is no injury, ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise then no need to worry and no need to go for ct scan. Be around ur baby always and never leave ur baby unattended
