my newborn has caught cold she is 7 days old what should I do the remedy to cure I am breastfeeding her

Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be vevxry useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dhose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Hi mom. as your baby is very small and just 7 days it is better that you consult with your pediatrician other than you can follow some kind of small remedies, but definitely be careful before doing it If your child is having cold and cough then you have to give steam to the baby 2 times a day. hold the baby in the bathroom by keeping the shower on also you can hold the baby on the lap and give the steam. even you can use nasal saline drops just before the feed and before the sleep which gives relief from the nasal congestion. Ajwain and garlic roasted , make a potli and keep near the head of the baby
