My Little Sister Is Now 2 Years Old. She Is Having Fever From Last 5 Days. This Fever Goes Away And Come Back. I Give Her Medicine Regularly But its Not Working. What Should I Do?

A. Go and see doctor if fever is persistent after 3 days. He will run some test

A. Thanks Dr. For Replying. I Am Giving Her Fever Syrup Named Flexon Suspension. Can You Please Tell How Much ML Should I give to her. She Is 2 Year Old And Her Weight Is 9.5 Kg.

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or morez is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher zmedicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
