Q.
My kids have umbilical hernia from birth. Now they're of 11months, it got decreased very much but still not got cured completely. As per doctors consultation within a year ,it'll be cured automatically but as of now it's not went yet. Can you please suggest anything on this? They're twin boys. #AskTheExpert

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it need to.be examination by .by any child specialist near by or your family pediatric doctor as it is difficult to advise for this without examining the baby . Further any medication according to the examination only .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Most umbilical hernias are nothing to worry about, and go away without medical treatment by the time a child is 4–5 years old. Surgery is done only if: the hernia doesn't close by age 4 or 5. the hernia becomes incarcerated (can't be easily reduced)
