Q.

My kids have umbilical hernia from birth. Now they're of 11months, it got decreased very much but still not got cured completely. As per doctors consultation within a year ,it'll be cured automatically but as of now it's not went yet. Can you please suggest anything on this? They're twin boys. #AskTheExpert

A. it need to.be examination by .by any child specialist near by or your family pediatric doctor as it is difficult to advise for this without examining the baby . Further any medication according to the examination only .

A. Most umbilical hernias are nothing to worry about, and go away without medical treatment by the time a child is 4–5 years old. Surgery is done only if: the hernia doesn't close by age 4 or 5. the hernia becomes incarcerated (can't be easily reduced)
