Q.

my kid suffer cold and cough how i can recognise diff between viral n bacteria infection? when i have to give antibiotics? i mean ma doctor prescribe always azobet that contains azothrpmycin....please suggest me prescription

A. Viral infection generally get cure within 3 to 5 days and don't require antibiotics but if the illness persists beyond that and the secretions turn greenish yellow then it can be bacterial infection and needs to be treated with antibiotics.

A. cold symptoms are more prevent in viral infections. fever us also usually mild or absent in viral infection
