A. Hi Plz dont stress as stressing will effect your health and ur baby's health. It normal to pass stool once in 6-7 days if the baby is less than 6 months of age. Plz consult the doctor if problem persists. Are you giving formula to your kid if yes then i would suggest you to go for fms that has Prebiotic HMOs in it as Prebiotic HMOs helps improve digestion of the baby – improves stool frequency and softness. I use Aptamil Gold stage 3 for my younger one. Since ur baby is 4 months of age you can try Aptamil Gold stage 1

A. It is very common that children less than 6 months of age may not pass stool for sometime 10 days also. Slight discomfort as well as straining while passing urine and stool is also normal. You have to just take care of colic pains as well as gas in the abdomen and do not worry about the frequency of the stool if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.d please note that intermittent crying that you see might be due to colic pain and not due to constipation. s
