my granddaughter is 6 weeks old now. She seems to be very restless. Just wanted to know what could be the reason.

This kind of behaviour is commonly seen with kids when they have stomach pain and sometimes when they have physical difficulty in digesting the milk so due to stomach reflux also sometimes they can have this kind of a discomfort so either of the two could be the reasons with the child
