Mom of a 5 yr 2 m old girl2 weeks ago
Q.

My girl is 5 years old. She stopped wearing diapers from 2.5 yrs old during day time and she can hold her pee but she used to wear it at night till 4.5 years old. After that i tried removing her diapers at night and started to make her train for night. But its been 7 months she still doesn’t hold pee at night and does bed wetting. Even after peeing on bed she doesn’t care or tell me and sleeps on it until i notices it. What should i do so that she holds her pee or go to toilet at night if she wants to pee. I even reduce her liquid intake 2 3 hrs prior to sleep.

A. Mam start taking your child again to the washroom every two hours you actually delayed with the diapers you shouldn’t have used it till the age of 4 1/2 years but right now you just have to continue with the same thing and what happens is kids just get used to your child is becoming lazy not to inform you not to go to the washroom it’s a common thing with kids which is why your child passes urine sometimes intentionally on the bed and keep sleeping because a child is comfortable so regular counselling making your child understand that you can have infection UTI is a very high possibility with this so please keep counselling and I know it’s going to be a pain but take your child to the washroom every two hours and consult a urologist if needed
