Kirutika KaliyaperumalMom of a 2 yr 4 m old child2 years agoA. Follow oil massage (olive or coconut oil or ghee if super dry) and bath with light warm water. use body wash with ph 5.5 and moisturise complete vody twice a day. don't use any natural remedy like turmeric or Neem or besan flour on baby's delicate skin. this will worsen dryness.
HarjeetMom of 3 children2 years agoA. My baby had super dry skin when she was born.
Sharing the bath routine I follow for her:
- messaging with coconut oil/sesame oil/olive oil(depending on the weather)
- now before using any body wash( I use aveeno body wash, has been giving good results. Does not dry the skin and has little moisture)
I always apply curd+oil+glycerin mixed to baby’s body thoroughly messaging it and leaving it on for min 2min and then rinse it off. After which I use body wash
She does not like cold water at all in any weather. So always give her warm to hot water bath. Now this warm or hot water itself steals the body moisture, so to maintain it oil ritual has to be followed.
