My frnd's son is 4 month 12 days old. he had blood and mucus in stools.. stool test is negative. Taxim-0 drops, z &D 20 drops, Entromax was given for 14days. blood and mucus is stopped but undigested milk is seen in the stools. 4-5 times a day . but baby is active and taking feed. not gaining weight. @3months he was 5.2 kg. @4 months he s same. they stay is village wr doc consultation being bit difficult . any perticular reason for undigested milk ? he is on breast feed

A. it is possible that the baby is suffering from lactose intolerance in this case I would recommend that you should try to give non milk-based formula to the baby for a couple of weeks this will help to resolve the issue being faced
