My doctor suggested welminic drops 5 ml twice for my baby who suffered from severe cold..... Since it's not available can I give t minic drops of 5 ml for my 1.4 months old boy..

A. no dnt self medicate at all. common cold is due to viral infection in season change. Dont just start with antibiotics first. give nasivion or nasoclear saline drops for nose block in nose 2 drops each. Otrivin infant nasal drops for nose block 2 drops each every 4 hourly. - give indirect steam inhalation , means steam should not go directly in baby s nose but you should put in a steamer in a closed room so that steam is in the surrounding for nasal soothing. -If does not get better or you feel baby has abnormal breathing sounds then see your doctor as soon as you can for auscultation and  examination. -applying any vaporubs inside baby s nose is not advised, rub on chest and back - for dry cough no medicine is advised
