A. dear parent, it is normal for babies to lose weight after birth which they regain in 15 to 20 days time. For healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. till baby regains the birth weight, feed every 2 to 3 hours and thereafter on demand. at one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
