Q.
my daughter who is 4 has a blackish brown vertical line from her nailbed to the tip of her left thumb. I first noticed it 6 months ago and thought it was due to some injury and will grow out eventually and her paediatrician confirmed the same. however, it hasn't changed at all and now I am getting worried. could this be subungual melanoma? what should I do next?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr old boy5 years agoA. if the size is not increasing and the intensity is not changing kind to not worry and there is no need to read Google much into it. if your pediatrician says nothing needs to be done then just wait and watch
