my daughter (when she was 3.5 yr old) had suddenly started to get afraid of air conditioner indoor unit. anyhow we managed her. after some time she got normal.
again now (4 yr 10 month) from 3 days she started crying and closes her ear with hands. she is afraid of AC when it is off. she is perfectly okay with running ac.
i talked to her...she said that a particular ac is having hands and ac will eat her.
can anyone help me in this regard

My son is 3.4 years old and last night woke up from a nightmare, and suddenly getting scared of air conditioner in our bedroom.l, crying inconsolably. next morning he was fine, sent him to school , once he was back, he was all cranky and not ready to go to that room and cried inconsolable, I took him to my mums place, there he kept playing with their AC remote, put it on and off, both the AC same.we came home from my mums place and the crying starts again, did not go to that room. Before this episode, he was obsessed with AC wherever he went, it was the first thing he observed. What should I do? He is unable to tell what he feels, n we r so helpless, psychiatrist is unreachable, once he s bk we will take my son to him, but I don’t know how to handle my kid till then, we tried to console him, tell him it’s harmless and we r there with you and all but nothing working as of now, kindly help..

Hello dear.
Looks like the kid is disturbed. Does someone tell stories to her as to a monster will come to get you et cetera?. Or ask her if she is imagining similar things on other objects as well. If this keeps on continuing better consult a psychiatrist and get properly evaluated￼

Calm down her and make her understand that it’s not living things it’s just to keep room cold 
That’s it 
It will not eat anything 
Talk to her and maintain hydration 
Give healthy protein rich nutritious food
