My daughter she is 4 month and 15 days old and is suffering from diarrhea ( Green Colour) aroung 8-10 times a day for last 4 days. She is on breastfeeding. Is taxim O syrup antibiotic recommend. Akready giving Probiotic and Zinc. Please suggest

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. you should follow up with doctor passing stool 5 to 6 times in a day is normal for breastfeeding babies and if baby seems to be active and gainng adequate weight then it's fine.
continue breastfeeding
probiotics have negligible role for babies who are on exclusive mother's milk and antibiotics may disturb intestinal Flora more so please follow up with your doctor
