My daughter's urine test report shows that traces of albumin is present in urine. Is it normal?

Expertdr Komal agrawalPaediatrician7 years agoA. Hello..don’t worry about it.sometimes it is due to stress or fever. If baby has fever, any kind of stress then urine report can be like this. So don’t worry..if fever subsided and child has no stress then you must repeat urine report once. Do a repeat urine routine and microscopy after 10days.,then consult your doctor once if it comes positive again.

ExpertAlapati HariPaediatrician7 years agoA. Hi, traces of urine can be seen in urine with prolonged standing or fever, it’s not a sign of urinary infection if present alone. If there are any urinary symptoms associated it’s advisable to get a urine culture and sensitive test done. This is a gold standard test for urine infection. If protein is 2 + or more it’s a sign of kidney disease.

Nihita mittalMom of a 8 yr 4 m old boy7 years agoA. Hello and good evening usually in such cases pediatricians prescribe to get a repeated urine test done and a gap of around 10 days and then if it persist then you have to consult your pediatrician for further treatment
