A. Hello, Teething may temporarily affect your baby's desire for nursing. They may want to breastfeed more or less frequently depending on if they find it soothing or if they are feeling extra fussy. The parent should look for signs of skin chafing and rashes and painful gums while teeth are coming in. Soothe a Teething Baby Something cold in your baby's mouth, like a cold pacifier, spoon, clean wet washcloth, or a solid (not liquid) refrigerated teething toy or ring. ... Try offering a hard, unsweetened teething cracker. If your baby is older than 6-9 months, you can offer cool water from a sippy cup, too.
