Q.
My daughter is suffering with fever since last night. usually doctor ask to remove cloth to reduce the body temperature and no medicine required. but now due to very cold weather reducing of clothes is not comfortable for my baby. plz guide how yo handle minor fever.

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist6 years agoA. hi just feed well. wear comfortable clothing. do sponging with water at normal temperature, not too cold. it helps in taking temperature down. do not give medications without prescriptions. consult your doctor in case of persistent fever, poor oral intake, excessively sleepy child.

PayalMom of 2 children6 years agoA. Hi. Right . don't make her wear very warm clothes and give medicines as wel. crocin is safest and you can repeat it after every 4-6 hours of fever is there. In cold season don't put her in minimum clothes

Soyal MaheshwariMom of 3 children6 years agoA. hi. please give paracetamol to your baby on SOS basis. don't make her too warm during fever. keep her well hydrated by giving lots of boiled and cooled water. if fever shoots up then do cold sponging.

Sowmya MMom of a 12 yr 1 m old girl6 years agoA. hi actually it is not like remove the cloth you can take the lukewarm water dip the cotton towel just start sponging the whole body as well as you lots of love to your baby make a baby sleep well give rest to baby it's not medication if the temperature is not reduced then you have to give the medication
