it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions
which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool.
it may be present in less quantity xduring regular times and would be in more quantity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child.
mucus in the stool is also associated with gastrointestinxal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestion.
treatment is usually given according to the cause

Keep monitoring. .if the poo consistency is watery or foamy or smelly then check for baby's intake that should be the problem and treat it accordingly And change baby's food or other food intake. Also ensure to give digestion medicines asking your doctor. Otherwise if consistency is fine no issues
