my daughter is of 1yr, i saw small white patches inside her mouth i,e on her inside lips on last Wednesday, today i went to dctr, he told its an fungal infection....wt s reason of fungal infection. is it serious. i m worried n tensed

A. Oral thrush is caused by the overgrowth of a yeast (a type of fungus) called Candida albicans. Most people (including infants) naturally have Candida in their mouths and digestive tracts, which is considered normal growth.
