Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year ago
A. urinary infection is very common. this can be prevented mainly by taking plenty of fluids which will help in decreasing the chances of concentrated urine as well as infection. at the same time the urinary area should be cleaned with only water and try to avoid any type of soap and cleaning agents. at the same time after passing stool the perianal area should be cleaned from front to back. if the cleaning area is cleaned from back to front the stool can stick to the urinary area causing urinary tract infection. recurrent urinary tract infections s to be investigated radiologically in this case it is important to rule out urinary tract infection for which urine report as well as urine culture needs to be done. in the report if it is found that there is positive urine culture then dr gives antibiotics for around 14 days after which culture report is repeated to see if the infectiond is gone. kindly take plenty of fluids to drink to and maintain hygiene of the urinary area and contact your doctor for relevant examinationd and investigation at the earliest
