Q.

My daughter is having teething. One week ago, she was suffering from loose motions and then went through viral. Now she recovered from viral but loose motions are still there. We are giving her ORS and probiotics but there is not much effect of them. Could you please suggest what else we can give to her to stop loose motions.

A. Does Zinc needs to be added to be added in her medication? She is dependent on milk and not on breastfeeding.

A. kindly give ORS for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor. Also you cannot give outside milk and cerelac also but you can continue to dgive breastfeeding if going on for next few days. Avoid giving sweet sugary food as well as maida and biscuits, chocolate, icecream, packet foods cerelac
