Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons.
Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there.
After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there .
Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 yearsg of age.
Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. alongh with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position

It not necessarily is because of deficiencies I think it would be some another issue also a lot of times infection also in the scalp so you may as well can you check with your doctor once a doctor would be able to give you a class status and if your child is not taking basic supplements and maybe they can advise you with something else to go
