Q.

My daughter is having frequent motions partly solid partly loose or semi solid kind of from last 4 days.... Can it be because of teething.... She passes stool almost after every feed.... There is no fever or any other sign of any infection.. Have been giving her banana too... What else can I give her to eat and is it because of teething

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydra chtion should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
